Importing subscriptions

If you come from Juo, Recharge, Appstle or another app, the Migrate page takes your plans and your running subscriptions with you. Customers keep the same products, prices, frequency and next date, and get no email.

Updated: 2 October 2026

In three steps

  1. Copy the plansLoyalo finds the subscription plans of your old app on your products and turns them into plans of its own, with the same frequencies and discounts on the same products.
  2. Import the subscriptionsUpload the CSV export of your old app. Loyalo recognises the columns; you adjust where needed. Loyalo then checks every row and you import.
  3. Switch overStop the collections in the old app before the next collection date, without customer emails. Then switch on collecting in Loyalo.

What is in the CSV

ColumnRequiredNotes
Customer emailYesLinks the row to the customer in Shopify
Next collectionYesThe date of the next delivery
FrequencyYesFor example 2 weeks, or unit and number in two columns
Variant ID or SKUYesThe product of the subscription
Quantity, price, shipping costs, addressNoLoyalo takes them over when the columns are there
Subscription numberNoThe old number is kept when it is free
Mollie customer ID and mandate IDNoFor iDEAL subscriptions: the same mandate in your own Mollie account

Checking before you import

After the upload Loyalo looks up the product, the plan and, for iDEAL, the mandate of every row. You see how many subscriptions are ready to import and which rows have an error, with the reason per row. Nothing happens in your shop until you click import.

For iDEAL subscriptions without a valid mandate you can have customers emailed to give one, with a payment of € 0.01 through iDEAL.

Avoid collecting twice

As long as the old app still collects, leave 'Loyalo charges subscriptions' off. Under Widget, switch on 'Only show Loyalo subscriptions', so the plans of the old app are no longer shown in the shop.

Which apps can I move over from?

From any app that gives a CSV export of the subscriptions, such as Juo, Recharge and Appstle. Loyalo recognises the common column names and you can change the mapping per column.

Do customers get an email from the import?

No. The import sends no emails. Only when you choose so yourself, iDEAL customers without a mandate get a request to give one.

What if a row is wrong?

That row is not imported and you see why. You fix the CSV and upload again; what has been imported already is not created twice.

Do the order tags stay the same?

Yes. Loyalo uses the same scheme for order tags (subscription, subscription_<number>) and keeps the old subscription number when it is free.
